When studying Newspapers, we were given the option between the Daily Mail and The Guardian when creating our own versions. The Guardian has a younger and more culturally aware audience with the demographic being ABC1 whereas the Daily Mail has a lower one due to large, bold font and simplistic language used. I took this into consideration when starting my own piece as I wanted to create a simple yet interesting look for the front cover of the Daily Mail.

Why did I choose Media?
I took Media Studies for a GCSE as well and, because of that, it is another reason I wanted to continue it at A-Level. I really enjoyed learning about the different theories and the set texts and writing about how it influences an audience and it's opinions. As I would like to continue this as a career, Media Studies is a very important subject for me to take as it helps pave the way for the job(s) I would like to do in the future.
